Mechanical/robotic organ animations

We were asked to bring a series of complex mechanical organ artworks to life for Farsound Aviation’s impressive new website.

The main attraction, a mechanical heart, posed a distinct challenge as it was required to rotate completely, a full 360 degrees. To accomplish this, we collaborated with the innovative team at Zushi Digital. They skillfully converted a flat 2D image into a remarkably intricate 3D model that was not only operational but also fantastically eccentric. We then stepped in to add textures, rigging, and animation to the model, culminating in a dynamic rear exhaust feature.

For the animations of the lungs and brain, we utilized the original 2D illustrations, employing a variety of animation and VFX techniques such as puppetry, morphing, and layered effects to infuse these pieces with vitality.
