Battle for Stokes Croft

Overview:

We were commissioned to create a title sequence and a series of animated idents for the BBC documentary “The Battle for Stokes Croft.” This documentary explores the community’s efforts to resist the opening of a Tesco supermarket in the Stokes Croft area of Bristol, highlighting the clash between local residents and corporate interests.

Creative:

Using a couple of illustrations created by a local artist, we crafted a paper theatre, transforming the illustrations into 3D structures. We also emulated the illustration style to create the various locations and assets required. This approach allowed us to capture the vibrant and artistic spirit of Stokes Croft, creating animations that are both dynamic and engaging. The result is a visually compelling introduction that sets the tone for the documentary, resonating with its themes and narrative.
